Steampunk has many variants, but one of the classic backgrounds for the genre has been the sea, as first described by Mssr. Jules Verne in "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea". I have put together this small offshoot of the Steampunk Tribune to delve a bit deeper (so to speak) into this topic, and hopefully will be a repository of Nautical Steampunk information.
Additionally, aside from nautical Steampunk, Second Life fictional works, to better document the burgeoning Steampunk narratives in the Steamlands!
Its been over a year since I made any entries to the Steampunk Travelogue, and more has changed in the Steamlands than I had realized. Numerous locales have sadly gone by the wayside (e.g. Steeltopia, the Hammerwielder Store, Legacies 1891), some locations have moved (e.g. the Curio Obscura mainstore, Whitechapel 1888), and some new ones have appeared (e.g. Goatswood, Stainless Steam). I'm currently in the process of updating the locations, and will begin the retrospective on some of our departed friends, along with some photojournals of existing locales.
